Metal Detectors

For the safety and security of our fans, entertainers, players and staff, LeLacheur Park at UMass Lowell employs the use of CEIA PMD2 Plus Elliptic walkthrough metal detectors for all events taking place at the venue. Qualified designated security personnel will be onsite to facilitate the screening as well as any secondary searches that may be required. Patrons who require alternative screening options due to medical or accessibility reasons may request this upon arrival at the venue.

Fans that refuse to submit to either a walkthrough, wand or pat-down search shall be refused entry.

Smoke & Tobacco Free

UMass Lowell, including the Tsongas Center, became a tobacco-free campus in August 2014. All tobacco products are prohibited from entering the building.  Additionally, vapes, e-cigarettes, lighters, and other tobacco adjancent products are strictly prohibited as well.

Things to keep in mind

Dress for the weather

Baseball games can run 2-3+ hours. Even if it’s warm at first pitch, it can cool off quickly—especially for night games.

Bring sun protection

For day games: sunglasses, sunscreen, and maybe a hat. Seats in the sun can get hot fast.

Keep an eye on foul balls

Always stay alert—especially down the baselines. Foul balls come fast.

Be mindful of stadium etiquette

Wait for a break in play before heading to your seat, don’t block views, and be respectful of fans around you.

Take in the full experience

Between-inning entertainment, walk-up music, mascot antics—it’s not just about the game.
