Alcoholic Beverages Policy
Massachusetts state law prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages to persons under 21 years of age; therefore, guests will be required to show proper identification and proof of age when purchasing alcoholic beverages. Any patron in the building under the age of 21 and in the possession of alcohol, will be ejected from the event and taken to the security office where their parents will then be notified for proper advisement. When necessary, these patrons may be turned over to the Lowell Police. All persons who are consuming alcohol and appear to be under 21, and cannot provide proper identification, will be processed as above. All persons supplying underage drinkers will be ejected from the event and turned over to the Lowell Police.
Smoke and Tobacco Free
As of August 25th, 2014, all campus property will be designated smoke and tobacco free. To assist in the implementation of the new policy, signage will be posted throughout campus over the summer reading "Share Fresh Air. Welcome to our smoke and tobacco free campus." Also to support the campus during the transition, we have partnered with Lowell General Hospital to provide free, eight week smoking cessation programs for students, faculty and staff.
All patrons enter through the Main Lobby Entrance to access events at the Tsongas Center and must have a valid ticket to attend an event.
